About Me

I am an entrepreneur, a teacher, a motivational speaker, an author, a mother, a wife, and a life consultant.

I’m a woman who has learned to take what life has given her and turn it into a cool, sweet, thirst-quenching glass of water! I would love to help you through your life’s journey, so you can experience the same.

When I tell you I can help your home and family because I’ve seen it all, I mean it. I’ve worked with kids and families for more than 30 years by running a preschool in my home, and serving social services as a certified foster and adoption mom through Albemarle County, VA. I have four adult sons whom I homeschooled – one is a West Point graduate, and another is a Liberty University graduate. My two other adult sons are currently in college and will graduate soon.

I spent eight years in the United States Airforce and another eight working for the Department of Defense.  After earning a certificate in business management, I started two businesses: Shea’sational Goods Bath & Beauty Products and Fresh Scent Cleaning Services. I am also an author. You can find the chronicles of my parenting and homeschooling method and challenges in my latest book, Commanded to Homeschool: The Story of My Freedom, available from Amazon.

It sounds like I have my act together, and I do. But it wasn’t always that way. My experience growing up in poverty taught me a lot about life. My mother couldn’t provide enough for my five siblings and me, so we were constantly shuffled back and forth between San Francisco and Richmond, California.

The lack of stability at an early age resulted in me stumbling through the early years of adulthood. I was on a dangerous path. But along the way, I learned to be resilient. I know now that the past doesn’t have to dictate the future. I was fortunate to have many people mentor me throughout my life. It started with my grandmother’s encouragement. I have followed many biblical scholars who teach principles about commitment, perseverance, loyalty, and diligence.

Having people to turn to, including a grandmother who believed in me, helped me turn my life around. I know how hard it can be to fall into bad habits, to do what seems easy even if what’s easy isn’t what’s best for you.

My goal as a coach is to encourage you and help you find the way to always move forward; to understand that nothing that is genuine gold or comes at a hare’s pace. I want you to know that success will come, as long as you have a goal that you are striving toward.

If you’re being held back by your past, let me help you learn how to move through your pain and history so you can have the life you deserve. Contact me today to find out how I can help you and your family live a happier, more fulfilling life.

With High Regards and Motivation,
